Growing up in a large grower family planted the seed for the company Bart Baardse. Founded in 2011, it has since grown into a prominent player in the high-end cut greenery market worldwide. Owner and founder Bart shares: “We operate two medium-sized companies: our Dutch firm Bart Baardse, located at the flower auction in Aalsmeer, and our Italian company Fiorentina Fiori, based in Tuscany.
As an importer of eucalyptus, we have gained recognition over the years for offering a year-round full range of eucalyptus products, tailored solutions, consistent product quality, reliability, and expertise.”
- Own Location -
ITALY
“With my years of experience in the Italian market, working with suppliers primarily from Tuscany was a logical choice to bring together the wide range of Italian greenery I envisioned,” says Bart. “Soon, the idea arose to source directly from growers myself. The advantage of this is that you can purchase more cost-effectively, and working with regular growers ensures consistent quality.”
Additionally, our customers can now directly select their favorite growers, which is unique! We supply fresh products straight from Italy, Spain, and Portugal, and to complete the range, we source top-quality goods from our trusted growers in France. This allows us to provide our customers with the quality and freshness they desire.
"In short, freshness and consistent quality at a fair price."
Our own location – Fiorentina Fiori – is centrally located among the various growers in Tuscany, forming an essential link between Italy and the Netherlands.
Another area of focus for us is stem trade, particularly for the retail sector. For this, we utilize our own location in Italy, which has since expanded to include suppliers from Portugal and Spain. To ensure year-round supply, we collaborate with our partner in South Africa during the off-season months.

Founder of Eucalyptus South Africa
Bart Baardse is one of the few who offers the full range of eucalyptus year-round. This was initially a challenge, as the end of the European season left a gap in the eucalyptus market. “Believing that it could be done differently, I traveled to South Africa in 2013,” says Bart. “With success, as this led to a now-thriving South African eucalyptus trade, ensuring we can supply the full range of eucalyptus throughout the year.”
